@v21.bsky.social and @mrgan.com posting independently about Drowning By Numbers had me pulling the Blu-ray out. Always good to have Peter G talking my language

a lot of books here that I have been meaning to read (and some that I have, that are good). I love how these awards cut across from fucked up internet erotica to prestigious litfic.
Over 275 authors, editors, critics and diehard readers came together over the last month to vote on their favorite transfeminine books of the year.

It's my honor to present the 2025 TFR Reader's Choice Awards!

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who voted 🩷

THAT’S JUST HOW A BARN DOOR CLOSES

come up with a fake but plausible folksy aphorism. use your phrase once in every conversation you have for a day. if someone asks you what your phrase means, you lose. if someone else uses your phrase, you win.
I need everyone to make a shitpost game that fits into at most 3 posts on here before the end of the year otherwise thr sun will not rise again
Not enough shitpost games though

realising that one reason I posted this rather than an actual bit from the film itself is that I just love this italic so much. looks like the IBM Selectric? the big ball terminals... @mjmcmaster.bsky.social did a open licensed version which I've used a bunch: michaeljmcmaster.com/selectmono.h...

I have also had a nice time (only a little time, though) with Babushka's Glitch Dungeon
I'm starting to write more reviews of smaller titles on Steam.

1. Reviews are very helpful for developers and players alike.

2. It's a nice way to cap off a fun time with a game.

So not only do I recommend Babushka's Glitch Dungeon, but I also recommend writing reviews of indie games you enjoyed!

i keep itching at the way that tile based videogames and textile aesthetics overlap. not done anything with this yet, but i keep trying to.
ok i'm going to stop to eat, but i started in on some bookkeeping (which will be used for accretion) and i did a first pass on making room alignment "locally formal", which will help with keeping things structured.

thinking about how pottery is a craft with a risk of fucking up your lungs in a serious and irreversible way, and how the primary way you can stop this from happening is by keeping on top is wiping down surfaces and mopping

I can't stop thinking about how, in the film Ghost (1990), she does pottery on the bottom level of their open plan apartment. Isn't the whole place gonna be dusty as hell?

a film recommendation: if you'd like to watch a Hallmark-produced Hanukkah romance where the main couple are basically Tim & Daisy from Spaced, and also the Daisy character is played by Vic Michaelis from Dropout, and also it's a well structured time loop film... then watch Round and Round (2023)

thank you to Galette the cat, for very patiently waiting til I'd finished cleaning and refilling the litter tray in order to poop just over the edge and onto the newly mopped floor
