I love podcasts and feminism.
Radical, intersectional feminism. Curtailing trans people’s rights to exist freely is not feminist. Do the reading.

And cisgender women are not threatened by trans women’s inclusion in their ranks. It’s just a lie.

I’m more threatened by these GC creeps than by any trans woman or trans man. Because I know that GCs align with gender conservatism - ideology that causes much more danger to women & to queer people.

The new 'gender critical' attack line that trans people / allies 'suddenly' care about butch lesbians is very stupid.

They also nicked it from trans inclusive lesbian Ruth Hunt.

When she called GCs out for using lesbians as an excuse for their bigotry.

Thanks, transphobes, but I don't need you to defend butch lesbians like me
Truly, I am touched and thrilled to have the support of so many sections of the media. If I’m honest, I thought they hated butch lesbians. I’m delighted that they are now passionately championing our ...

It remains insane to me that DOGE was treated at the time as an impressive shock and awe accomplishment - “you can’t deny he’s getting stuff done!” - and then instantly memory holed by the press once if became clear it was a total failure by every possible standard including Musk’s own
Difficult to overstate how profound a failure DOGE was. Spending in FY2025 was not only than in FY2024 – but higher than it was projected to be when Trump first took office.*

The little bit of spending DOGE cut has already killed hundreds of thousands and will eventually lead to millions of deaths.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Hounds of Love is just a perfect song. So sophisticated for a young person in their 20s. Damn, KB’s a genius 💜

It's coming for me through the trees
Oh, help me someone
Help me, please
Take my shoes off
And throw them in the lake
And I'll be two steps on the water…

The hounds of love are hunting…

This is what the British state and NHS are doing to trans children.

In a "study", designed by associates of a designated hate group, into which these children are being coerced, because their internationally-endorsed healthcare has been banned on the bigoted whims of a religious ideologue.

Lol. This is deeply funny, desperate stuff.

And I always refer to 'gender critical' ideology as flat eartherism. No one serious or sensible actually believes in that simplistic, bio easentialist crap.

reminder to parents of trans children:

breaking the rules to save your child years of suffering and possibly their life is your moral duty, get them on the correct hormones no matter what and don't bother with "doing things the right way"
And let's not even get started on the absurdity of looking for a positive impact from a preventative measure, where the expected outcome is "not getting worse"

Puberty blockers had no measurable impact on divorce rates, therefore ineffective treatment.
(Also the trial measures blockers’ impact on “gender dysphoria,” which some of us have been saying for years is an inherently pathologising diagnosis easily manipulated to curtail bodily autonomy, but ☕️🐸)

I've already stated my opinion on this matter. To reiterate, she's racist and so is the Prime Minister because the buck should stop at his desk. I am never voting for Labour again.

It's not an AI hoax. More's the pity.

Response to racist violence is to give racists what Labour think they want when in fact what they want is to not see Black and Asian people in their field of vision.
The Home Secretary explaining that the rise in racist violence is, actually, the natural response to higher levels of immigration is a state of affairs that can't exist without the government having largely decided that racist violence is, if not legitimate, at least understandable.

part of the reason for the rise of reform is labour trying to appeal to their supporters by aping their arguments and policies. all labour votes reward this strategy, your labour vote says "yes, i love racism, more racism please"
don't give labour a single vote under any circumstances

may well write about this properly at some point but: as someone with ADHD who's not on meds but smoked/vaped from the age of 13 and quit six months ago: fuck my life, it's hard to deal with emotional dysregulation when you're no longer self-medicating with colossal amounts of nicotine
I keep saying this but it’s at least very interesting that many doctors didn’t think ADHD persisted into adulthood until you couldn’t buy Ritalin over the counter anymore and most people stopped smoking.
yeah tbh I’d really rather be on ADHD meds and NOT have to develop a two pack a day cigarette habit as someone who’s never smoked before just to function

There are plenty of links between the anti-trans “women’s rights” movement & anti-feminist conservatism. And opposing abortion is a logical conclusion for a movement that says no, you should not have agency over your own body; no, you do not know best about yourself; no, you have no choice.
No way I’m sharing Stock’s UnHerd article. But I am going to point to this bit which amply demonstrates the anti-trans=>anti-women’s rights pipeline. “Abortions should only be done for a highly restricted set of reasons. They should not be just nodded through for any reason a pregnant woman likes.”

Reform literally said Mahmood might be more at home in their party. They're not frightened of her left wing views, they're jealous she came up with it first.
Harriet contends that Reform and the Tories are choking with horror at such skillful left wing politics stealing their thunder, which must be the reason why every reactionary crank and fascist wanker in the country has been cheering this to the rafters: because they are all afraid.
