£240m. With no tender. Palantir.

I wrote to Wes Streeting last week demanding answers.

Every day without any transparency deepens the scandal.

Palantir out.
Mandelson’s malign influence runs right through the heart of this Government.

Not least in the govt’s NHS data deal with Palantir – a spy-tech firm co-founded by a man who thinks the NHS should be ‘ripped up.’

I've written to Wes Streeting urging him to ditch this dangerous deal.

HOOTING
New York City: The time has arrived. Finally, a chance to tell the city EXACTLY what your landlord’s been getting away with. NYC’s first Rental Ripoff Hearings are happening in all five boroughs, and we want to hear from you. Real New Yorkers. Real stories. Real policy changes.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social would you speak out about him being on the board of the transphobic hate group Sex Matters immediately before his appointment?

SM have the ear of Labour and linking those bastards to Epstein could do more for trans rights than anything else right now

We've got a page which explains which questions are relevant and outlines some things to think about when you respond. Please take the time before the 24th March to help make sure that trans pupils can be properly safe, supported and included at school: www.scottishtrans.org/protect-trans-pupils

Changes to Scottish Government guidance following two court cases last year has made this much harder. But there is an opportunity to put this right. You have until March 24th to respond to a Scottish Government consultation on schools buildings regulations and to speak up for trans pupils.

Ed Miliband says Starmer wants to end ‘class divide’ in push to move past leadership turmoil – UK politics live
The prime minister is hosting a meeting of his cabinet as he attempts to push forward following a bruising week for his leadership And here are some more lines from Ed Miliband’s inteviews this morning. Miliband, the energy secretary, rejected suggestions that Keir Starmer woud not be in office for much longer. When this was put to him on BBC Breakfast, he replied: “I don’t agree with that.” He told the BBC’s Nick Robinson that that Robinson was “a bit too far” when he said that Miliband’s call for more “boldness” made it sound as if he wanted Labour to be a bit more like Zack Polanski, the Green leader. He said that he personally had had “very limited contact” with Peter Mandelson. He ruled out standing for the Labour leadership again, telling Sky News: “I’m not going to run.” One leftwing Labour source told The Telegraph: “Everyone from the PM down to the most junior bag carrier knows who was behind the McChicken Coup. And his name rhymes with Les Weeting.” The McChicken Coup refers to apparent efforts to use the ousting of Morgan McSweeney, Sir Keir’s chief of staff, to force the Prime Minister to step aside. Wes did not ask Anas to do this; he did not coordinate with Anas on this. Anas is the leader of the Scottish Labour party; he is his own man, and Wes has the highest respect for him. Move on dot org. I mean, let’s just get on. Let’s just move past all this. Come on. I’m saying to our colleagues – don’t focus on yourselves. Focus on the country. That’s what Keir’s message was last night and he’s dead right. Continue reading...

A good reminder from @billybragg.bsky.social about what Starmer once pretended to be - always worth remembering he threw this all away and managed to get fewer votes than Corbyn

Last week the far right started peddling a narrative that the outrage over Epstein is a moral panic. Today, like clockwork, a more polite version of that narrative appears in the Atlantic.

The monarchy is outdated and undemocratic.

Every year, the public hands over £500 million to fund a billionaire king, while energy bills, rents and food prices all rise.

Enough is enough. It's time to #AbolishTheMonarchy

it's the fact you know what they're gonna say before they say it bc they're always trying to drag culture back to the same dusty point in time and suck the toothpaste of knowledge of others back up into the bottle. same rhetorical stance you find in both jason aldean and dave chappelle videos lol

there's nothing inherently wrong with reactionary work and the issue is the ethos coupling with a decades long drought of new ideas and consistent disinterest in what the world's actually like outside a mid-20th century middle american framework.
the primary reason rightwingers will never control culture is because everything they do is hinged upon it being a reaction to the broader culture. the TPUSA half time event would not exist without it being a representation of their grievences

I think at this point it’s worth remembering that we are not even 2 years in to the first Labour government in 14 years, with nearly 2/3rds of all MPs being from the party of that government. It could have been so easy, but the extent to which they have comprehensively fucked it is just staggering
