Threads is so fascinating to me because every time I see a screenshot from it it makes me wonder if I am the same species as the people posting there
I think Bluesky is currently the best social media platform for keeping misinformation to a minimum, maybe because it’s not popular enough to be a target yet
Half the shit my friends, including fellow academics, share on Facebook is made up crap that they believe is real

The left tried for decades to pass green energy subsidies, passed them, the subsidies worked, and now literally the entire planet's electricity grid is going to convert to solar+battery. It just doesn't feel like "tech" because it mostly produces kinda boring blue collar jobs instead of billionaires
