Suburban observers say ICE has only been more aggressive since Homan: “I think they’re getting angry that we’re winning and the country is rallying around us. We’re so organized and we act with such integrity. They don’t want to admit they feel threatened by us.”

Of course.

DHS lied again.

Right after they murdered Renee Good, they shot a young couple in Portland.

Then lied about it.

They were *not* gang members.

And she wasn’t “involved” in a shooting, she was a victim of sexual assault.

I truly believe there is nothing more important that civic-minded multi-millionaires could do right now than start up local newspapers and run them at a small but steady loss

This was actually such a widespread practice at camps that I talk about this in my book as early motivation for SS members trying to get the hell out of dodge. Guards realized that, as it turned out, extralegal punishment could go both ways

Any time Ohrdruf is mentioned I am compelled to tell people an interesting fact: upon liberation, camp survivors rose up and immediately murdered their SS guards.
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

A couple of people have asked why so many academics with ties to Epstein are popping up.

I recommend starting with this article. Epstein wanted to be perceived as a brilliant guy who found the smartest scientists and funded them.

To date, I’ve only found one woman in academia with close ties.
What kind of researcher did sex offender Jeffrey Epstein like to fund? He told Science before he died
Felon said he liked “rebels” and “rarefied air” in 2017 interview

It's just a simple case of "Who the fuck are you fighting for?" We live in a society where girls are preyed on constantly and expected to act as willing recruits of our unpaid safety net. And your thing is that we need to be nicer to the predators?
Yes, @mattyglesias.bsky.social has also argued, in The Atlantic (of course), that older men pursuing sexual relationships with sixteen year olds is not pedophilia.

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

God forgive us.
Rep. @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social told reporters that there were about 1,100 detainees currently housed at the facility. That includes hundreds of other minors all the way down to a 2-month-old infant.
NEW: @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social is calling for Dilley Immigration Center to be “shut down immediately.”
Dilley released Liam Ramos. But hundreds of children who remain in the facility are facing a measles outbreak. The highly contagious disease can be deadly.

Speaker Johnson is lying.

He knows that counting mail votes is not “magic” or “fraudulent,” it is following the law.

Echoing these lies shows how beholden Johnson is to the Liar In Chief, but the Speaker of the House should be above such awful behavior.

This is disgraceful.
