The thing Sacks is mad about is a potential wealth tax which only impacts those with assets over $1 billion. That will impact very few actual people in Silicon Valley.

FWIW I have some issues with the actual proposal, but the idea that it means Silicon Valley "is for dinner" is nonsense.
Thinking about the time Sacks and his buddies started a run on their own bank and had to be bailed out.
David Sacks, presumably, on the push by some in the tech and VC world to fund a primary challenge to Congressman Khanna.

It's fucking embarrassing. It never stops being fucking embarrassing, but this is just so plainly Russian propaganda being parroted openly by an American president that it hits another level of fucking embarrassing.
Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. It sounds a little strange but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices."

I've seen people reference the claim that RFK Jr. believes the 1918 influenza came from lab research, but since no one provided a link, I was skeptical that even he could be that stupid. Boy, was I wrong.

Still unreported, should be investigated:

ICE shot Richard outside a mall. I visited mall security office. Guard said ICE and LAPD came in, used thumb drive to copy mall’s video footage, and THEN DELETED THE EVIDENCE from mall’s local drives. He showed me the missing timeline part saying “no data.”
Huge win for Richard Noticias LA, TikTok journalist shot by ICE. Criminal charges dismissed with prejudice, meaning can’t be refiled.

ICE did him DIRTY. Repeatedly. Inhumane treatment, basically medical torture.

Still in ICE custody on immigration case. They owe him unconditional release.

Not a miracle. Partly the playout of the DOJ consent decree that reformed the police force. Also treating illicit drug use as a medical rather than an LE issue. Hard work went into that turnaround.
Still a few days to go, but as of right now the Baltimore homicide page shows 133 homicides for the year.

It was consistently around 330/year until four years ago, when it started its steep decline. It is now well under HALF of what it was.

This is a miracle.

The President of the United States appears to be getting regular IV infusions, the public doesn’t know anything about it, & the DC media evidently doesn’t care.

We are months into the mystery of Trump’s hands, the White House is lying, & I’ve seen a grand total of one serious news story about it.
Trump looked pretty rough today -- note that both of his hands are discolored

Pirro quotes the pipe bomber a lot, except when concluding his actions weren't related to January 6th. Sure comes in handy that the cell towers were accidentally pointed the wrong way and the dude "wiped" his phone on December 15th, 2020. 5/

Next, Pirro claims that the suspect wiped his phone all the time, and that the first one ever just HAPPENED to take place on December 15th, 2020, MAGICALLY wiping away any evidence of his activity in the weeks leading up to January 6th. Very convenient if you're trying to hide a motive. 2/

So much of the issues related to transit governance is downstream from the fact that both the boards of these agencies and many of advocates in this space believe that transit is a welfare program that acts as “transportation of last resort” as opposed to a viable, affordable alternative to cars.
The equity case for infrequent buses at low fares only makes sense if you believe low income people’s time has no value or that they don’t value their time.
Every transit professional knows this, but equity

The “worst of the worst” Venezuelans deported to El Salvador’s CECOT prison weren’t the worst: nearly all had no violent convictions, many entered the US legally, and gang labels relied on tattoos—not evidence, reports Cato’s David Bier.

DHS Doesn’t List CECOT Prison Deportees in Its Worst of the Worst Data
The United States should have allowed most of these immigrants to reside and work in the country legally. They could have been economic assets to the United States, and it serves no legitimate purpose to send them back to, at best, horrific conditions in Venezuela and, at worst, more persecution.
