It's crazy that the NFL is pandering to the hundreds of millions fans of Bad Bunny instead of catering to the whims of a deeply unpopular incontinent fascist and his creepy even-less-popular enablers. Don't they understand business?
I keep thinking about when Mike Johnson was asked about the NFL getting Bad Bunny to play the halftime show and he responded by saying they should find "someone who appeals to a broader audience" like... 82-year-old Lee Greenwood.

Really shows how much of a bubble the right lives in.

I accept that slang has passed me by, as well it should. It belongs to the young. This all probably sucks and these people may be awful, but unless they hurt others it is none of my business. So I'll focus on what I can understand: someone bragging about being the "King of Scottsdale"
Big weekend for Clavicular. His cortisol levels were spiked by foids while he was jestergooning and chadfishing in the club. And then he got ragebaited by the King of Scottsdale.

It makes me insane that the media doesn't ever mention how in the last year he gleefully and casually condemned hundreds of thousands of people to die, but are still like "here's what our brilliant genius is doing now! Wow!"
Oh my gd.

Musk is fucking insane with this quoted sentence from the press release on SpaceX acquiring xAI.

"This marks not just the next chapter, but the next book in SpaceX and xAI's mission: scaling to make a sentient sun to understand the Universe."

One thing I keep thinking about is that all these connections, all these forces, aren't really a grand plan. More of a malevolent will, an evil wind rather than a hand moving pieces into place. Power and wealth and depravity, coalescing into nightmares.

It's truly Pynchonian.

A society that wasn't in the thrall of billionaires (or better, one where they didn't exist) would respond to Thiel saying he no longer believes in democracy with a resounding "who gives a goddamn shit? PayPal was fine, that's all we need from you."
Yes, Peter decided that the continued existence of our democracies isn't compatible with his desired level of personal freedom.

An absolute enemy of humanity.

Jesus christ, I never even considered this angle.
It makes sense that the actually-real global cabal of powerful pedophiles made destroying USAID one of their first priorities.

They have to protect the global supply of profoundly desperate poor kids - that’s exactly who they target for trafficking and rape.

Media: White House Softening Rhetoric In a Bid to Unify Nation

Homan: if you get in the way of our plans we will destroy your life
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

The goal of fascism within a liberal state is it ultimately will violently reestablish a status quo of power. It will eventually fail, and in its wake, liberals will step in and claim “we beat facism, all is better now” while inheriting and sustaining this new status quo of social hierarchy.

Some thoughts on what's happening here in Maine with the ICE surge.

Catch of the day or worst of the worst? Pick one
It’s extremely telling that ICE has dubbed its “immigration action” in Maine as Operation Catch of the Day.

At the very least today one terrible human being was stripped of what he wanted in the world: a type of respect (from other terrible people) and power over decent people.

In the grand scheme of things, it is small beer, but it's not nothing. They're scared. It's a win.

Noem is making the otherwise scrupulously honest and upfront Trump administration look bad!
“.. If the Trump administration wants the public to support its immigration enforcement actions .., it needs to speak honestly about events. Kristi Noem has repeatedly demonstrated that she is incapable of that.”

What I take from this is that the Bears have a better defense than Seattle...

It's just logic, people!
The Seahawks came into this game having not given up an explosive play in a month

They’ve given up six (!) tonight.

I will never understand how someone gets to be this way. I've studied radicalization; I've written extensively about it; but there's something different about this. A soullessness. An emptiness. A complete lack of humanity.
They’re just gonna try to lie their way through it

What I like about Van Hollen is that he's a guy that relentlessly prizes moderation, but, unlike Newsom, his moderation led him not to triangulate but to realize how cruel and unfair and antithetical to moderation this all is.
If you really want a white man as a candidate for 2028, may I recommend Van Hollen over noted MAGA-friendly transphobic circus peanut Gavin Newsom.
"The real domestic terrorists are in the White House right now" -- Senator Van Hollen

I've seen exactly one person hold their phone and pull out a gun with their other hand and that was the fash thug who killed Renée Good.
We’re supposed to believe this is a domestic terrorist attacking ICE with a gun
January 24, 2026 at 9:44 PM
Just insane. He intended to massacre ICE but didn't take out his gun when they approached him? When was he planning to do this?

I know everyone here knows all this, but fuck, I'd love to see the media state it clearly.

ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city.

If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.
