From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."

Describing a 72-hour ban that you caught and lied about as being "disappeared" when there are people being disappeared in actual fact every day is certainly a choice.

Complaining about downwardly mobile leftists is so close to getting an important point about how multigenerational upward mobility was a key component of the vibes of the late 20th century.

As a teen in the 90s, I legitimately hated music from the 70s and 80s because it was in that weird spot of being old but unlike other older music I liked (stuff from the 30s-60a) too recent. I would have called it cringe if we used that word like that.

I was a kid when they raised the Mary Rose. She looked very unimpressive to me, being hosed down with seawater in her yellow metal cradle. As I grew up and saw her at various stages in her restoration I stopped being unimpressed. Now I'm just in awe at this eyepopping feat of preservation.
When you're trying to depict life onboard a Tudor Warship, what better background to display it on than the Mary Rose herself!

worker: we have two options, X and Y. which one do you want? X has these benefits and Y has these. (i spent weeks compiling this info and thousands of jobs are at stake which you know but neither of us will acknowledge)

"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
