Wow. This is really fucking disappointing. With so many other options available, they chose Substack, the newsletter Nazi bar.
I adore this series & its humorous approach to dealing with BIG FEELINGS. Just because they're picture books doesn't mean they're only for kids. They have a little something to teach all of us in a super fun & silly way.

I haven't watched the Stranger Things finale, but having just finished a Lost re-watch, this sums up why a lot of the back half of the final season didn't work for me. It got bogged down in lore & trying to answer Every. Single. Question.
The biggies are, I feel:
- trying to wrap up every single thing, it often causes long and multiple denouements.
- trying to explain all the lore, similar to above, but what both these things do unintentionally is make the world feel smaller and self contained.
- not having any tension left
