Every time someone asks about ethics, someone comes out with that enraging "if you don't put your shopping cart back you're a monster" bullshit and ugh do not let me catch you at it.

second degree murder, and specifically depraved heart murder, wherein the accused doesn't actively plan to kill a specific person or people but acts with callous disregard for human life - like firing a gun into a crowd or driving drunk - should apply to decisions made by CEOs and heads of industry
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

I just got an idea. What if i put up all my old blind yelling threads on ko-fi as blog posts so people could find them more easily?

If you would like to keep my pillow stealing cats warm, i do have a new goal on ko-fi.

I mean i am just not always a fun person to watch movies with. Bad costuming, anachronistic hair, empty drinking vessels- all get up my nose but if you want to really watch my hair catch fire, a character says anything medical whatsoever because it will be wrong.
#FilmSky, a quick question; what is the pettiest thing you have had to be annoyed at a film? I ask because I am watching The Gift from 2000, and the main character does divination with Zener Cards, which are not the same thing as Tarot at all. Why go for a more boring looking option?

Strange how Nov. 24 set off a flood of "liberal Canadians" joining Bsky who desperately want to fight anyone opposing fascism.

Waves glowsticks at this point because I really need certain fanclubs to freaking grasp it.
I specifically said "in the upcoming Democratic primary". You know what primaries are, right? It's when you choose to vote against one Democrat, by voting for a different Democrat.

I got to touch the Stripey belly! Truly a first. I started to pet her, she writhed around, grabbed my hand and put it there.

This is my favorite headcanon and it's a great example of how readers can offer a different reading of a text that the author never considered and did not intend, but is nonetheless validated by the text itself.
A shitpost so great Billy Joel actually heard about it

The weak response from Can, EU and UN to Trump's flagrant crimes in Venezuela is striking.

It exposes that much of the world has been cowed.

Most notable exception: the Latin American left.

That is why the Trump Admin has gone to enormous lengths to defeat the left across the continent. 1/3

This is fantastic and please, everyone in the US please read that last bit and turn it inward.
Best thing I’ve read this morning, from a human rights lawyer in Mexico. Translation is in the ALT-text.

great thread
You don’t have to want kids or even enjoy being around them. But it’s also worth unpacking why kids simply existing, learning, or having unmet needs reads as “annoying,” “unlikeable,” or “bad behavior.”

This collective discomfort with noise, need, & vulnerability is why many ADULTS are struggling.

I say this often but it bears repeating: if you make your money from creating art then you NEED to find an art or craft where you just do it for fun and don't try to be perfect or make any money from it, and when anyone tells you to monetise it you say 'No', because otherwise your soul will die.

hey buddy (someone in the bay area please adopt him!)

Earlier tonight, about 8:45, i decided to barrel through the end of my book on kobo, a book it said I had read for 8 hours and I was now 70ish percent of the way through. I estimated I had about 2 and some change hours left because earlier at least some of that time was staring at the wall.

It's not. I called all of this, including that it was supposed to be last week. It's still terrible and upsetting and this is why I'm going to go unplug my modem now.
