poet, novelist, graduate student, time traveler. in my sock knitting era. Jewish genderfluid bone wizard writing queer trans speclit in hell. Medievalist inexplicably writing a dissertation about Anna Akhmatova's queerness. no English pronouns, thanks.
Last year I finally listened to This Is How You Lose The Time War, and I bought the audiobook with a credit after Christmas, and it was because of bigolas dickolas. Just tell people about stuff you love. Just do it!! You never know!!
like the bigolas dickolas thing was extremely funny because it wasn't even the writers posting, it was just a random person!

I so seldom think a movie is necessary but we queers deserve a biopic miniseries based on Rachel Holmes' Scanty Particulars, her biography of Dr James Barry.
Name a book that should be made into a movie or TV series

Ok, great news! I got the line dug up and I don't need the couplers, just the conditioner and cement, so if anyone can kick me like $14 I can have running water again! Paypal.me/starbroken #mutualaid #phelpsky #solidarity #materialaid

I know it's about Dante's Inferno but it's genuinely so cool that Hozier's Francesca is making me cry when it's about people who died over 700 years ago, people whose inclusion in the Divine Comedy was meant to give this murdered woman sympathy and personhood. Extraordinary.

What do you MEAN the solution to my general low grade misery was a bath with sparkles in it even though that bath was not really hot enough

Imagine deciding Anna Akhmatova isn't "Christian" because none of her poems are about trusting in the unmerited divine love of GD or surrendering her life over to Jesus in explicitly Protestant terms.

That is what this particular out of print book about her spirituality is about 🙃

I felt like making some art last night/today and could have made something beautiful and/or meaningful but I made this instead.

It's a Barbie Yaga Malibu Dream Hut.

No regrets. Can't defeat fascism without joy.

Urgent!

Please help El keep the utilities on!
They are one of my closest friends, someone who is family to me, & they need our help right now to keep utilities on, including heat. They have been working themselves ill just trying to survive.

$125/$293 for late utilities and phone bills—almost half way there! Thank you so much.

Being disabled and freelancing means a budget with no margin for error/accident. Your generosity and reposts are helping me literally keep the lights on (& the heat), and tethering me to the outside world. :)

Y'all. Please. Today and every day. Do not write down criminal intent. Do not post about doing illegal things. Don't email your revolutionary plans via gmail. Don't make murder jokes on discord. Use a tiny bit of filter. Don't assume you're too insignificant to matter. Just don't write it down.

Well now that a lovely yarnian has received her package, I can post some glamor shots of her order. Zamor Satin Silver & Lichen-Sage Guardian. Both colors are gonna wrap her in revolution, since she chose some gorgeous colors that were inspired by revolutionaries and medieval guardians. 🧶

Ads are very aggressively advertising to me a monster erotica in one of those closed system reading apps whose entire premise seems to be "what if you had to fuck your way to the final boss lover". In case you were worried the conservative trends in books are ruining the uncommercial weird stuff.

Louisiana made a new rule several months before the presidential election that to vote, your LA state driver's license can't be too new, you had to have had it before the law was passed. I TRIED to register to vote. But I'm trans and my license is in limbo because of the gender marker.
Do you think that maybe the bomb threats had something to do with that? Do you think the voter roll purges had something to do with that? Do you think the piece-by-piece dismantling of the Voting Rights Act had something to do with that?

I began crying with laughter watching the two videos in this thread, this is SO funny. I got so much emergency dopamine from this.
This wheel is to the boy squirrel the way that the football is to Charlie Brown and it still makes me laugh every time he tries to use it only to be immediately spun.

Gotta be Return of the King. I simply do not like it. I go out of my way to avoid watching it. The good moments, which are incredible, do not make up for the intensity of my hatred for the rest of the film.
What is the movie you have seen the most times that you would say you do NOT like?
