You're so so right. The 'hard decisions' cliche is their tell. They never make hard decisions at all; they make easy ones that are carefully planned/focused grouped to hurt a marginalised group, like beneficiary sanctions. A hard decision for the grey people would be to raise taxes on billionaires.
