ME/CFS made me unemployable, given its impacts.

So I started a business, ran it for 10+ years. I Worked flexibly and part time, took time off when had to - many weeks/months.

As a result, I have no pension, as I was always in survival mode health-wise and financially within the business.

Here I am posting pics of an Asia that we'll not see again for many lifetimes - climate change induced severe flooding (and all else) is now here to stay.

Sharon took pity on my toes poking through my other two pairs, each 10+ years old. I feel well posh now.

When the Gulf Stream goes into reverse and the UK becomes uninhabitable (AMOC collapse*), I hope there will be some welcoming nations who are kinder to refugees than we have been.

📢 New paper on the impacts of AMOC collapse on European hydroclimate. 🌊

We find an AMOC collapse would exacerbate drought conditions across Europe, linked to reduced precipitation. In combination with climate change droughts are expected to become more frequent and severe.

Tax breaks for UK company cars cost the exchequer £3.27 billion a year

Motability costs £1 billion

Both are valuable to the folk who get them, and yet we save our pitchforks and torches for disabled people

April 2022 Income Tax Threshold £12,570
April 2031 Income Tax Threshold £12,570

Should be about £16,970.

Meaning every person earning £16,970 or more is paying £1,231.86 more in tax.

Threshold freezes are a tax on the poorest.

‪Nattokinaise - says best to take it away from food with plenty of water.

I'm presuming it'll clear an empty stomach quicker, i.e. in the morning before breakky. So, how soon after can I eat again?

Did I miss the part in the budget where while UK Gov can't be arsed funding research into - nor treatments for - your disease, your PIP gets doubled?

Question…

Why is the minimum wage not also the tax-free allowance?

If minimum wage is the amount needed to live, why would some of it be taken in tax?

Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances. A new decade-long Brexit study explains it: a 6–8% hit to GDP – that's £180bn-£240bn a year – means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else.

Brexit made Britain poorer. Much poorer.

What nasal sprays are we using to prevent covid?

The one I generally use, Nasitrol, is not going to be here in time before my surgery.

So, I need one that I can purchase in store.

I know of Xlear, but I'm not sure if there's anything more effective?
