Meanwhile, it’s bidding to host next year's UN climate talks. Make it make sense. oilchange.org/publications...

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

For years, people argued that there's no point in taking climate action unless China is onboard. I'm at a COP30 event where Chinese government officials and renewable industry reps are outlining the fast-paced renewable energy transition and long-term carbon neutrality plan. The story has flipped.

This would be the end of this particular Labour government, I think. A budget in very difficult circumstances whose economic logic is so nakedly determined by the political interests of its proponents is a recipe for disaster - also deeply unserious from a market perspective.

Pressure is building. We’re now on the cusp of major tax reform.

But the powerful few, who refuse to pay their way are spreading fear, division & lies to stop us.

Will you tip the scales in the favour of the many and help us win a fairer economy?

Just 2 more years at current rates. It is essentially impossible to avoid global temperature rise exceeding 1.5˚C.
