Hello, welcome :)

This Invisible Illness: my first long form documentary photography project, about ME/CFS a complex & challenging health condition - like Long Covid.

Bristol, UK. 335.42 ppm. He/him/oi.
I mean, my personal losses could be more like £200-300k, across my 20 year career (salary, bonuses, pensions), plus all else. I daren't calculate it tbh, too anger inducing.

*Whatever the inquest/inquiry-thing is, it should have teeth and remove from medical practice and policy those who've caused the damage.

I believe all UK sufferers of ME/CFS are owed 1) public inquest into its mishandling 2) medical licence removal of those who've actively hindered progress 3) substantial financial compensation (£100k+ each).

I estimate the cost to the business at £500k. Personal loss £100k++ (earnings, pension, family money, expensive treatments, tests etc).

All because UK Gov won't sufficiently fund ME/CFS research and treatments. Including Long Covid now two million people impacted, costing £7bn annually to UK.

My business needed occasional injections of money to aid cash flow (usually because I couldn't work hard enough), family money which can't now go towards any care needs in mum's later years nor whatever may remain as inheritance.

My health continued to worsen, in spite of my best efforts and expense. I can no longer work.

I receive £800 pm welfare, much of which goes on the drug and supplements I need to not worsen.

ME/CFS has brought financial ruin. I will likely live in poverty in my older life.

I find most trainers a bit sweaty for all day wear, but replacing the inner soles with sheepskin/wool-based soles is a winner.

Nice one, thanks Sarah - I've re-learned what enteric means! Just double checked and they (a brand calld Doctor's Best) are hydroxypropylmethylcellulose coated, which afaik should fit the bill.

Thanks Liz, really glad to hear it helped. I'll note to be patient! My digestion seems a little slow in terms of digesting a meal out of my stomach, needing minimum three hours. So, I think I'll stick to taking it first thing before breakky.

Thanks Tania, that's really helpful to know. I'm wondering how long it will take to travel through my empty stomach, except for my morning drinks. My hunch is two hours should be pretty safe, but not sure.
