As I sit here whinging about the lack of weather and road reporting - I can say that Front Street in Ilmington in Warwickshire looks like it’s been gritted well and traffic’s moving just fine.

It doesn't have to be us. If you set this up, every time you shop, a small donation will be made to a good cause.

There are a zillion good causes signed up to this - a small % of your January sales will make a massive difference

Happy limbo day

Christmas is weird, isn’t it? Mine’s filled with ghosts and spectres interwoven with a cascade of happy and not so happy memories.
Lots of love and virtual hugs to you as you navigate your way through this complicated time ❤️

I think AI may have misunderstood the 'Gold, Frankenstein and Myrrh' mission for this audio version of my earlier fundraising post.

Anyway, please sign up to Easy Fundraising so that your favourite shops donate to Square Pegs

Nothing says Christmas more than a QR code...

I'd be delighted if you'd sign up to this so that every time you buy some tat for Christmas or in the January Sales, the store of your choice will make a small donation to us here at Square Pegs Towers...

Dear people…do you buy things?

I buy things.

Every time I buy a thing, the online shop makes a donation to Square Pegs.

I’d be overcome with emulsion, er, emotion, if you’d sign up to this.

It just takes a couple of minutes

I know you're thinking, 'How can I donate to Square Pegs Experts By Experience Community Interest Company, but not use any of my own money?'

Worry no more!

Online companies do all that messy donating for you every time you shop with them.

Take a look

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can become chronically ill.

It’s not a choice. It’s not a moral failing. It’s not something you can “try harder” your way out of.

You can be the healthiest person in the world & completely disabled in an instant.

It’s a minority group you can join anytime.

‘Life being stressful is not an illness’

GPs who responded to this questionnaire are very close to revealing their privilege

We know that life time exposure to shitfuckery can lead to mental ill-health, don’t we?

Dear GPs, next time you’re asked to complete a questionnaire, be prepared for it to be weaponised against people like us…

As long as we’re outside the castle with our pitchforks and torches, those in power can ignore us by pulling the drawbridge up and turning away.

We must be directly involved in decision making.

There must be no castles (it’s a metaphor!)

Lived experience practitioners are the connective tissue that holds services together

That’s a bold claim. We need to be in positions where decisions are made.
December 4, 2025 at 8:01 AM
Unlike all the other professionals in a multidisciplinary meeting, lived experience practitioners have no professional body to protect our interests.
Almost every time we’re employed, it feels like we’re reinventing the wheel.

We’ve been around for more than 40 years, this has to change.
December 4, 2025 at 7:58 AM
What matters to you?

We can’t bring about change by telling our community, ‘This is what you need’ or by just reacting to the endless streams of damaging policies.

We need to take time to find out what’s important to each of us.

Their are millions of us. Let’s work together.
