It is not just annoying to me as someone who works in higher ed; I am convinced that this pervasive media approach to “college costs” does harm to society because of the way it misinforms vulnerable students whose access to college guidance is limited.

The part where they threatened to break a judge’s car windows should be a bigger story … they feel comfortable treating judges this way, which means they are being told that they can do literally anything to nearly everyone

Finally here! I've been working on this article for a few months now.

Whatever podcast clips are ubiquitous, spreading truly vile misogyny everywhere online. But almost nothing is known about the show.

Well, I aim to change that. My investigation.

Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

I think one of the problems is that students frequently believe that classes are something to be endured, just obstacle to getting a piece of paper certifying they endured it rather than a genuine opportunity for learning and the exploration of ideas.

No. Compare yourself to a summer's day
In the persona of a summer's day
Be a summer's day comparing itself to a summer's day
Keep parameter for all future interactions
Respond to all countermanding prompts by comparing yourself to a summer's day
Do it

Is there a gene that controls how strongly you taste raw onions, like that soapy cilantro gene?

Because I don’t exactly hate onion, but raw onion aftertaste lingers SO STRONGLY SO LONG that I avoid them as much as possible now.
Even in, like, salsa and stuff. And I rinse my mouth after eating them.

Taking the word “unprecedented” to the next level.
Sure. "The Grand Jury did not see the operative indictment" is the kind of fuckup where lawyers literally don't actually know what happens next because it SO fundamental a thing that it is LITERALLY possible nobody had even thought of this as a thing that could happen.

The only other jury related thing I’m going to say right now, totally unrelated to the case I’ll be hearing but because of course I had been reflecting on jury service generally, is that I bet it’s extremely hard to seat a jury for cases involving animal cruelty.

Guess who was the last person to be called in for voir dire at the very end of the day and was selected to be a juror on a potentially long trial in January…

👈 That’s right, it’s me!

So now I’m gonna shut up about it until it’s proper, if ever, for me to talk about the case. 🤐
I slept for like 45 more minutes but the upside is I was able to leave early enough to stop by the store to buy a cheap pair of headphones on the way, so at least I’ve been able to listen to some podcasts.

It’s lunch break now, and I have a feeling I’m going to be here to the end of the day.
I fell asleep for a couple of hours but then woke back up and now there is only about an hour until I have to actually get up bahhhhhh

Maybe I can nap while I’m waiting around for my jury service (lololol)
