Think of this fella almost daily. Hope you’re giving it large on the great rock’n’roll stage in the sky, Joe.

Christmas eve 1972, and the Barras is full of people doing a bit of last minute shopping. This trader seems to have his audience transfixed as he pints his wares.

As ScotRail isn’t on BlueSky yet I had to go to THE OTHER PLACE to post my thanks, which tells you the depths of my gratitude.

Huge huge thanks to David, the wonderful ticket examiner on the 9:30 from Westerton to Balloch who helped me find a bag I left on the train because I’m a distracted idiot these days. He called all the stations en route and located the bag at Balloch. What a star! #Scotrail

😂

Oh, and those conferences and workshops we have to travel to, AKA “holidays”

Your “days off”?

😂 And my mum thinks I get two weeks off at “Easter”.

😂
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!
Combatting poverty and hunger in this city will take every single one of us. Myself included.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a day spent reading Agatha Christie in a Scottish Highlands Cottage in front of a crackling fireplace whilst indulging in a plate of emotional support scones will indeed fix you.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is not worthy of your friendship.
