Bird friends! Data friends! Design friends!

I made a tool that turns lists of bird species into generative collages of feathers, colored by wikipedia descriptions.

It'll work with your eBird lifelist! Or local birds.

Download images, or buy art (5% goes to bird rescue)

It is my sincere belief that most people will eventually feel deeply embarrassed for ever supporting the current US president.

It's 20 years since @seanphillips.bsky.social and I exchanged a sketchbook back and forth in the mail, a drawn &painted call and response. INTERSECTIONS may be out of print but here is a flip through that sketchbook. You can still find the book out there :)

As it turns out, Texas is one of the queerest states in the country. Only California has more LGBTQ+ identifying residents. Texas is home to more queer people than all the queer people in Canada.

Tough to describe how good this pairing of writer/director and source material is. A top 5 comic of all time
“I Saw the TV Glow” writer-director Jane Schoenbrun is doing a series at Netflix based on Charles Burns’ “Black Hole” comics (which also have a long on-off history with movie adaptations). Details here.
Netflix Lands ‘Black Hole’ Series From ‘I Saw the TV Glow’ Filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun
Co-produced by New Regency, the drama is based on a graphic novel by Charles Burns.

So is the premise of "The Chair Company" just "what if HBO paid us to stretch an ITYSL sketch into 8 episodes"?

somewhere in portland, there's one person, or a small handful of people, who came up with the inflatable costume idea, and I feel like they deserve our immense respect for defining the obvious developing aesthetic of the contemporary battle against fascism

Wild how I have like… hours and hours of 4K video and thousands of hi res photos of my kids in my pocket at all times.

I think evidence of my entire childhood is limited to a few dozen rolls of 35mm film and maybe 10 badly composed and lit VHS tapes of birthday parties or whatever.
