It is now confirmed from multiple sources that ICE shot a legal observer dead on Portland in Minneapolis between 34th and 33rd street. The victim is dead

Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis.

A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

Bovino was there.

A US citizen has apparently been shot by ICE agents in Minneapolis. I’m gathering information, but the situation on the ground is volatile.

ICE should leave now for everyone’s safety.

New: I spoke with a Colombian asylum seeker who was the victim of a ‘Kavanaugh stop’ about what it was like to be racially profiled, abducted in front his family and held in ICE detention hours from home for more than a month—despite doing everything “the right way.”

This is Nick’s story.

The Wyoming Supreme Court just ruled to protect abortion rights! They struck down the state's two abortion bans (yes, two).

I'm so thrilled for the people of Wyoming, but also for all of us—because the decision could actually help abortion rights everywhere.

All War Is Menstrual Envy

there's a certain kinda dude who on some level is shamed by the knowledge of how easy he has it, how weak and useless his existence is, how instantly he'd crumple if he had to live the way others have to live.

So he makes that shame our fucking problem.

A few weeks ago I tried introducing a centerpiece fish to Rock Tank, this powder blue dwarf gourami named Lancelot. Unfortunately he was a little too aggressive, so he was banished to the Rage Cage (his own already planted and cycled 10 gallon upstairs---ignore the algae bloom on the glass 🙏).

Blackwater tanks aim to mimic the conditions found in slow moving amazonian rivers where decaying leaf tannins and peaty soils create reddish, acidic water. The chemistry to do this right is not beginner stuff, but lots of fish thrive in these setups and I think they're beautiful.

Israel brutally starved and beat Mohammed Ibrahim in its torture camps for months on end. Now, he’s back in Florida, as Israel continues to do the same to at least 350 Palestinian children.

I've had to explain that no, I cannot pencil and ink a 260-page GN in two months, do you even understand the words you're saying to me? I've been asked to design characters, pencil, ink, and color a 200-page GN myself in eight months (I said no).

HEY PUBLISHERS: pay attention to this entire thread; and recognize that a HUGE part of the problem is assigning comics projects to editors with no comics knowledge or experience. Editing comics is a discrete discipline, and when you don't recognize that, you fuck both creators and yourself over.
