This CR Deal is bad and dumb, but remember that the GOP has put themselves in an absolutely unwinnable position vis-a-vis ACA subsidies and the longer it goes on the worse it gets for them. Dems keeping it in the news is a win with respect to 2026. We are going to back here in Jan.

When Cuomo resigned he was unpopular but insulated. The women going after him gave everyone license to say what they thought. Boylan, an urban planner, was harrassed by Cuomo. She broke the dam in ‘21, and when he surfaced she swore she’d sink him again. She put her shoulder to the wheel on this.

Gerrymanders make things harder but much, much more brittle. Given a big-enough wave and they make the landslide worse. Trump and co are dumb enough to screw this up.
yup. but i think tyranny is, in its own way, weak and brittle when the power of the people comes
not to bring the vibe down, but my guess is that after tonight Trump will probably double down on gerrymandering, voter suppression, and intimidation as tactics to disincentivize Dem turnout ahead of next year‘s midterms. (with margins like these, it won’t matter, but it’s a time to be vigilant)
