Heads up: YouTube TV is giving a $20 credit to subscribers over the Disney/ESPN mess, but you have to actually go into the settings to claim it.

This is not a spam tweet, the settings page link is here: tv.youtube.com/settings/ser...

HOW ARE THEY THIS BAD AT MEDIA

Even if this was true, you don't *say* it.

It's just dragging down the whole caucus.
🚨 Tim Kaine is saying the quiet part out loud - underscoring why anyone shouldn't be satisfied with any of the "no" statements or posts from Dem Senators.

If Dem Senators are truly disgusted with this save they should be calling on #SurrenderSchumer to step aside as the Leader immediately.

Probably the key part of this piece. It comes down to the following: "What does prioritizing millionaire homeowners’ aversion to change over the needs of the poor and unhoused do to our souls?"

No one’s feelings are wrong. That’s not my point. We’re in a real battle, against a corrupt and malevolent foe, with huge stakes. We must win.

This is possibly the first time I've seen Democratic US senators subtweeting one another.

I don't know what the future holds.
But the traitors burnt a lot of trust yesterday.
In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

3. We need to move back as soon as we can to fighting Trump, united and forceful, as the voters who gave us that big win Tuesday expect. Getting back to that fight is how we keep building momentum.

Interesting thread, even if I do hotly contest the idea we should move past the treason.
Many feel betrayal and frustration, and the feelings are hot right now.

I get it. I have my own feelings.

Just absolutely incapable of recognizing the reality of the situation.
CNN: The head of the House Progressive Caucus called this a betrayal...Can you respond to that?

Shaheen: That [ACA tax credits extension] was my first legislation this year, and I intend to continue to fight...They need to train their fire on the people who are responsible.

i think the argument the cavers should’ve made/should make is “i couldn’t let people starve - we made a run thinking they would fold on aca, but trump really is that psychotic”

that’s an argument i think people could respect, but the won’t even make it

Truly impressed how absolutely no significant Democratic Partisans whatsoever are defending the surrender caucus.
Even the Dem centrists at Third Way are mad about the deal moderate Senate Dems cut with Republicans to end the shutdown:

"We should not have surrendered until we received at least something tangible on lowering health care costs."

Between this and the whole male eating disorder thing it really seems like culture has decided the path to gender equality is treating everyone equally like a teenage girl in 2008

i dont think there’s ever been a point where corporate america has had a sincere sense of morality but it is probably a sign of the times that the culture at most major firms does not even pretend to encourage ethical behavior anymore. the transformation is really stark in tech.
i honestly do not know what major company in america isnt involved in some ghastly shit at this point? i just would not *do* the ghastly shit yourself.
are we shaming people for having worked for companies that did ghastly shit elsewhere but far away organizationally because I'll be the first to say I ran a poop plant for a company that was/is major defense contractor and I'm pretty sure was involved with NEOM and *am* sure works with the UAE

Actual answer.

Gallego came into the House post-Trump and still has friends there. He's a moderate, but not Senate Brained.

And Kelly is effectively a surrogate for his wife and the Southern AZ machine, and they're a lot more partisan (mostly).
how is the Arizona caucus somehow much better than the fucking New Hampshire caucus on this shit

I know NH is purple-ish but it’s much bluer than fucking AZ
Mark Kelly is a NO on the continuing resolution deal

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.
