I don't know who needs to hear this but making deals with Alberta and the oilpatch
doesn't

Just ask the last person who tried.

Better to take the 20 BC Liberals our of the Carny Cons as well, and form a Climate Democrat or Climate Liberal party and have the Green and NDP merge with it. Would be a much better size for party status and directly affect government policy

I have a problem with the "Carney just did this to remove the Alberta issue." framing.

Because he's left himself no wiggle room for any policies that are OR appear to be, anti-oil sand. He can't even cut the ribbon on a solar energy farm without shouts of "Betrayal!" from Danielle Smith.

The details of the Northern Gateway debate may have faded from our memories. (They certainly did from mine, I realized, while working on this article!)

So here's a little refresher on what the country went through the last time an MOU was signed on a pipeline from Alberta's oilsands to BC's coast:

The frozen $95 per tonne headline price is largely irrelevant.

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.
