Give a speech like that I'm expecting Gripen and drone production immediately. Self sufficiency should mean widespread renewables in 1-5 years, not wasting money on far off nuclear and O&G backed by USA companies. Oh and junk PostmediaUSA and The FraserUSA Institute among other bad actors

If I were a PM who believed we were at a global rupture moment, upending decades of international order, and requiring totally new relations with the world, I probably wouldn’t cut my foreign affairs staffing and budget by 15%

So this MUST mean, finally, Gripens built in Canada, yeah? You can't say integration becomes the source of subordination, and then choose F-35s. For the sake of our sovereignty it's #GripenOclock

My affinity for French cars just grew exponentially.
French vehicle manufacturer Renault will start building long-range attack drones at its Le Mans and Cléon plants.

Renault will produce up to 600 of the drones per month, with some employees voluntarily transferred from the automotive chassis and motor lines.

Brad Bradford is using his former bike riding credibility to curry favour w the anti bike folks and become mayor. 'Don't worry I used to ride a bike and I now hate bike lanes too' (for political gain). This guy is the worst.

Translation: Our oil-soaked PM taking Canada down a dark path after lying to get elected and pushing a right wing agenda ever since. Tax cuts for the rich, giving himself grand unchecked powers. Also he's happy to announce incoming widespread gutting of the civil service.

O ya. There was at least 2 hours of anti-Wynne content every work day on corus am talk radio, often more. Plus postmedia's terrible bullshit plus the Globe&Mail barking about deficits. Today Doug Ford is adding almost $10 billion in debt annually in hydro subsidies alone. Crickets, mostly. #onpoli

I like how my friends get a work from home day, today, a snow day, in spite of the Ford work from office mandate. They relented for the snow. Something actually won against Ford. #onpoli

Many streets in the Netherlands once looked like those in the UK today. What matters is what happened next. Hoogeveen shows this clearly: a car-dominated main road in 2019, upgraded by 2024 with cycle tracks. Dutch roads are continuously improved to make cycling safer & neighbourhoods more pleasant

nice to read that UK has "..secured a record-breaking 8.4GW of offshore wind, enough to power the equivalent of more than 12m homes, the largest amount of offshore wind procured in any auction ever in Britain, or indeed Europe.." Meanwhile our oil soaked PM Carney is in Beijing 🤦 #cdnpoli #ukpoli
With this record wind power auction, we’ve proved the rightwing doubters wrong | Ed Miliband
The only way that Britain’s energy bills can come down is if we are no longer reliant on fossil fuels. Today marks a big step towards that goal, says energy secretary Ed Miliband
