I wrote about this too. Why isn’t Ontario hitting the barricades in rage? We’ve so little lake access. Entirely privatized shorelines. You could give the province away to oligarchs & people would be meh. Thx to Fatima for calling this early on.

Shellnutt said Bill 212, legislation passed last year that required municipalities to get approval for bike lanes which would remove traffic lanes, had a "chilling" effect that caused municipalities to install fewer of them.

Classic.
Pesky e-bike riders delivering food to people should be ticketed... @tps.ca there appears to be a double standard here because stopping in for some Jerk King, although delicious is not actively responding to an emergency.

The use of the lights here, while clever, is certainly inappropriate.

You can comment on this as a driver too! Isn't it better to have cyclists in their own lane than taking up a "car lane"? I prefer it - as a driver *and* a cyclist. Doug Ford has a driver, so doesn't have to sweat slow traffic. Tell the ON government to stay out of municipalities' business

I'd be curious to know if Bill 60's prohibition on cities doing anything but adding more car lanes, means that any consideration of HSR/transit lanes, on a hypothetically expanded Linc/RHVP, is off the table? #HamOnt

Wrote a comment on the Bill 60 page.

I still think that all of this is happening because Doug Ford got stuck in traffic one morning, a cyclist passed him in a bike lane, and he got angry. He tends to think only about how things affect him personally.

You can’t reform this.
We are aware of an arrest gone horrifically wrong. After a person was tased by police, a TPS officer exited his vehicle without parking it, it hit the person & another officer. Cop entered the SUV & instead of stopping it hit the gas, making the situation worse. We will be watching this closely.

Holy fuck, I just saw the video. I won't embed it but I think the worst part is a Toronto Police officer, after RUNNING SOMEONE OVER with a 5,000 pound SUV, starts instinctively yelling "stop resisting!" as a person lies on the pavement in agony

If you're driving, speed & hit someone, you're at fault. But, that doesn't mean that government's who encourage or facilitate dangerous driving are blameless. If you're in a collision w a speeding driver where a speed camera was removed email us: info@thebikinglawyer.ca 1/2
