Group chats with 70k men sharing tips on how to rape women, 1% rape conviction rates, sex offending coppers and a president found liable of SA are the real threats to women.

A tiny minority just trying to live their lives, are not.

Don’t fall for a far right con job.

As Keir Starmer does a “trans women are men” media tour today, I hope people think about that time he invoked the memory of Brianna Ghey in Parliament as part of a gotcha for Rishi Sunak. Abusing her memory for PR whilst plotting to remove the rights she would’ve had to live as herself. He’s sick.

Carla is an absolute angel.
@carladenyer.bsky.social was the only MP who pointed out one key issue with the response to the Supreme Court’s judgment in the FWS case:

Trans people have a right to privacy.

Making trans people out themselves breaches that right to privacy.

Without fail, whenever there's an article about a transgender person, the comments have at least one person who boldly declares: “There are only two genders! XX and XY!” The reality, of course, is not that simplistic, far from it.
Beyond XX & XY—Human Sex And Gender Were Never A Simple Binary
Humans are more complicated than most online experts think.

Trans women are routinely denied healthcare, safe housing and dignity.

This isn’t an accident. It is hate, fuelled by those in power.

Trans rights are human rights — and I will always stand with the trans community.

There is going to be a rally in support of our trans siblings this Sunday (27th) 2-3pm in Carlisle town centre.
It would be great to see as many people there as possible to protest against the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturns decades of progressive legal precedent.

Beyond madness
Labour back to kowtowing to harmful talking points just to look popular.

This will just lead to people being challenged & harassed for not looking like a social stereotype of their gender, let alone trans people.

This slippery slope needs challenged, not pandered to: sad Labour of so wet-willed.

This has been followed by complete capitulation by the SNP in the Scottish Parliament today.

Offering the LGBTQ+ community, let alone trans people, absolutely nothing.

Assuring For Women Scotland the judgement will be implemented and saying all orgs must follow the (transphobic) EHRC guidance.
Complete surrender to transphobic hatred by the Labour Party.

No nuance, no evasion, just full bodied membership of the anti-trans hate campaign waged against one of our most vulnerable minorities.

No LGBTQ+ person could reasonably vote Labour after this.

One “side” are popping champagne corks having lost nothing and risked nothing.

The other “side” have seen 21 years of legal precedent swept away and spent the day being threatened with the removal of further rights which have nothing to do with the ruling by the police and EHRC.

Both sides, eh?

Imagine just half the energy campaigning against trans rights had been put into

- Fighting the underfunding of women’s refuges

- Fighting for single mums

- Fighting for low-paid women

Compared to fighting trans rights, which would have had most impact on women’s lives?

I'm sorry, but 'Harry Potter was a big part of my childhood' is a pathetic defence. Doubly so if you're British. Learning that a children's entertainment figure is a monster who should be forgotten is basically a tradition here.
