There’s no way this guy is serious, right? I’ve stayed in plenty of hotel rooms in NY before I moved here and never did I have as much space as he has. He has no concept of cost in Midtown. The price is high, but he didn’t pick a hotel in a cheaper area so that’s how it goes!
This is actually pretty spacious for NYC!

Trump drooling over Mamdani in the Oval Office the same day Hakeem Jeffries voted to condemn socialism could not be funnier to me

Laughing at Donald Trump saying he'd definitely feel comfortable living in Zohran Mamdani's New York on the same day that half the consultant brain-poisoned Democratic party voted to condemn socialism

If the aim is to ambush @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, you'd say it was a closed meeting and then by happy accident a group of right wing "journalists" would mysteriously find their way to the Oval Office to corner Mamdani. JD Vance would also coincidentally be walking by and offer some questions.

NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

Yes, Mr. Madison, I get your concerns about fiendish foreign princes and such, but here's the thing: in the year 2026 the literal Pope will be eligible to run for POTUS while the mayor of New York City is not. Maybe go back to the drawing board and give that one another go. Not your best work.

Had to log into Twitter for a quick sec today for work and this got dropped in my feed and whew.

Firstly, I've got no idea wherever this stat came from
Secondly, 37% of the city is foreign born
Thirdly, there's like 20k rent controlled units out of 3m apartments
Fourthly, I'm tired

It seriously blows my mind that the other reporters present let him get away with that. That they didn’t show support for their colleague, and stand up for their profession.

Cowards.

It will depend on activists and many more people backing him up, but I think @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social has the chance to be a truly transformative mayor when it comes to streets. Just dusting off some stalled projects in his first 100 days would go a long way toward changing things for the better.
Mamdani Election Signals Lane Change for Stymied Street Overhauls
From a flubbed Fordham Road bus lane to downshifted bike lanes, the new mayor has a chance to revive projects to improve the city’s streetscape.

Then we should move to Medicare for All, which would ultimately lower costs.

Thanks for the endorsement, Sen Barrasso
John Barrasso sounds like a NO on extending ACA funds: “We cannot continue just continuing to subsidize a failing plan, which is causing more & more costs and hardship around the country. What the Democrats have offered was $350 billion more dollars to prop up Obamacare, which has failed”

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Challenge Chuck for the leadership then, @murray.senate.gov
When Democrats offered a clean ONE-year extension of the tax credits—which is truly the most straightforward and common-sense thing we can do for people facing gigantic premium hikes this year—Republicans said “never, ever, ever, ever.” They called it “political terrorism.” Are you serious?

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

In fact, Ro Khanna is right, you should be in no position at all!
