This is really chilling. A UC Merced faculty member approached Chancellor Michael Drake at commencement to express concern at UC’s repression of anti-genocide protest. Drake became irate and police ejected the faculty member from the event.

You can literally just tell the pharmacist you’re fat and/or depressed and you can qualify for a Covid booster.
Keeping in mind that the BMI number for obesity is incredibly low so a LOT of folks qualify and don’t realize it.
(BMI is a bullshit metric based on racism and ableism.)

Hopefully this helps people know what to say to their doctor or pharmacist to get the vaccine. I do worry abt going on record w a “pre-existing condition” (PEC) bc they will eventually repeal those ACA protections, but fuck it: they will consider everything a PEC when time comes to reject coverage.

I suffer from #LongCovid. If you’re under 65, start wearing a mask everywhere. The vaccine reduces the risk of Long Covid. Multiple #Covid illnesses increase your risk. You don’t want severe chronic fatigue, post-exertional malaise, muscle, joint, & nerve pain, and chronic daily headaches. Trust me!

I have seen first-hand how emotionally, physically and mentally grueling the practice of making comics is. There is often very little reward for years of hard work. I cannot imagine sitting down and making a comic just to shit on your peers, never mind putting it out there on the internet.
