Multiple friends have caught COVID recently, including some of my more cautious pals. There are a lot of winter germs in crowded places right now, fam. Personally, I never feel that shopping or riding transit unmasked is worth potentially getting sick. You can always renew this practice.

First of all: Discord doesn't need to do this, they have some draconian laws they're following in the UK and Australia and *choosing* to adopt this globally.

This'll depend on what you're trying to learn BUT your brain is literally rewiring itself when you learn a new language and you're likely to have an easier time the more you learn at least one more.
Language learning is a skill you can get better at, you just need to work at it like most things

i'm not watching the super bowl atm so i have no context but regarding what i'm seeing on my tl i just want to say that i fully and utterly agree that more anglophones should learn spanish to connect to others around this hemisphere and we should encourage multilingualism for everyone
