Today in bros being bros (complimentary), this one guy finds he's not just his GYM's pullup champ, he's EVERYWHERE's, & then this other guy is like "let's be workout buddies" & now they're best friends and when you hear how many pullups they can do you will gasp. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/16/m...
These two guys in Eastern Massachusetts set world records over and over, and became close friends along the way - The Boston Globe
When a Marblehead man began shattering strength marks, a Brookline man reached out. Together, they’ve rewritten the record book.

Dear everyone, this is delicious and you should eat it. (Vegetarian? Chickpeas would be great too.)

This story is so much more gripping than it has any right to be (as a story about so little gripping)
Oh no! The sudden noises outside weren't for nothing. The FedEx truck fell into the ditch. On a totally normal, dry day with no water, snow or ice on the ground. I drive up that hill every day and I don't get it. How did they do that?

I’ve wanted to brag about my Christmas gift last year and here’s my chance.

I got the whole family matching magazine subs! Adults got Southern Cultures, OA, Bitter Southerner, The Sun, & New Yorker. Kid got Lux, Oyla, and later we added The Onion.

We always have stuff to talk about!
I got out of the habit of reading magazines bc of the social pressure of writers reading what's trendy/popular or frankly expected of you.

This year, I've dedicated myself back to reading magazines and I'm truly having the time of my life.

there are REASONS it's not hard to show certain wine moms some radical zines and have us ready to turn into dragons breathing to burn it all down. Like oh, word? We didn't HAVE to be treated as cruelly as the 90s treated us? And our DAUGHTERS don't have to be?? 🐲🔥
The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

you should go out of your way to use your trans friends' names when you talk to them

they chose their names and they feel it in their chests when they hear or see it

we waited our whole lives to hear our real names and it doesn't get old

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

One thing that's abundantly clear: passing the SAFE Research Act would permanently end the United States' ability to be competitive in any area of advanced technology. Just straight up suicidal policy-making.
This has gotten surprisingly little attention — it's not even on the front page of @science.org right now — but it's really hard to describe what the SAFE Research Act would do to US science and scientists without sounding insane

Street Art - Ireland

A roadside vertical post aka bollard painted as a blue octopus with tentacles extending across the pavement, using the curb and cobbles to suggest movement. I love the use of multiple colors and the eyes & brows are wonderful!! 😁

This is your regular reminder that most men who sexually abuse children do not meet the clinical definition of a pedophile.

They simply want to abuse their power and no one is more vulnerable to abuse than a child.

I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.
