Oh my god, it's about an out-of-work science illustrator?! YES.
I REVIEWED @tkingfisher.com's WOLF WORM. I gave it five stars. Five really, really grossed out stars.

A new Spinosaurus species uncovered in northern Niger appears to have been a wading predator of fish like its close relatives, but it lived as many as 1000 kilometers inland from the Tethys Sea.

Reminded once again of the Mitchell and Webb sketch where a triumphant revolutionary mob cheerfully dunks the queen in a vat of acid
let's have a spirited international sporting event focused on "purging the billionaires and the fascists and salting the defiled earth from whence they sprang" - we can give out fun prizes
We should view "even the British monarchy are better at holding their elites to account for their crimes than the US is right now" not as proof that we're doomed -

but as an inspiring challenge to do an even BETTER job of purging our loathsome murdering-rapist tech CEO and MAGA class.

What up with this goose? Anyone seen anything like this before?

Wish I could get a picture with a bird in each hand, but sadly that is currently anatomically impossible, so you'll just have to trust that it's extremely cute. Here's Louie leaning into a neck scratch #Parrotsky

Little bit of housekeeping for the SciArt Feed.
Gave the icon pic a fresh colour scheme, and added a pinned post for people who find the feed.

Yucky! Apparently there is a 2,600 ACRE data center that is proposed near Dinosaur Valley in Glen Rose, TX. I grew up loving that area, and I have numerous fond memories of it.

Please help me tell the powers that be we do NOT want this data center.

A couple of spoons where a knot in the wood was used as an 'eye'.

The first one is Australian Silky Oak and the second is Surinam Cherry (which really isn't a cherry at all).

Amphibian Time is coming 👀
Is it the time of night when we go listen to singing amphibians? Yes, yes it is. Can you hear amphibians where you are? Go outside and take a 10second clip with your voice memo and upload it to iNat. #herps
