Cooking in the dark of winter when mid-afternoon spells sundown just feels... joyless and wearisome. I don't know how to explain it. It doesn't feel like the spot of comfort one wants it to be.

A new paper by Kiat et al indicates that Anchiornis probably couldn't fly.

(But I still think it might have been capable of 'falling with style'.)
