New DJ is still here! Teenager DJs are fun because they want to show off their music knowledge (complimentary) instead of just doing the same setlist each time and it’s the best. Maybe they only know about Kate Bush because of Stranger Things but I don’t care. Roller rinks are great
Breaking news: the DJ at the roller rink is a different one than usual and IMO this is great because he usually plays 1-2 Bon Jovi songs a night, which does not belong here

There have been no good reasons for staying on Twitter for years now, but at this point you will have to follow up any of your remaining excuses with “…and I don’t care about the child pornography.”
This does seem just a little bit bad! Idk the sort of thing you’d think politicians might distance themselves from or something!

this was "the big one" though I guess. It's funny, after feeling like I've firmly left games writing/criticism/academia etc I come back to feeling at least like a bit of a "presence" in that world emreed.net/Reframing_Ab...

the whole X saga has proven that the nazi bar metaphor should mean the opposite of how it's typically used. Lots of people will happily continue to patronize the nazi bar. Not only will they patronize the bar after a nazi shows up, they will do so after the bar is renamed "Nazi Bar for Pedophiles"
call me crazy but it really feels like “World’s Richest Man Creates AI Chatbot That Generates Child Porn” would’ve been a huge international outrage requiring a governmental crackdown not even 24 months ago

Personally I wouldn’t have a link on my Itch profile linking to X

If you liked Blue Prince, The Séance of Blake Manor or The Roottrees are Dead this year, you gotta check out this list!! Who knew 2026 would be equally (or more) stacked with mysteries!
2026 has the potential to be an even better year for detective games than last year, which had at least 46 releases! I made a thread here for upcoming games I am aware of. If I have played the Demo or Playtested it, I will describe the games a bit, as well as when they state their release dates.

This is an outrageous abdication of journalistic duty. Grok's apology was prompted by a human, as was its equally vehement self-defense. People are willingly hurling themselves into the AI trashbin at the bidding of oligarchs who will happily remove them from their jobs.

To start the new year, here's a repack of "Sanity: Aiken's Artifact", a very charming and stylish action RPG by Monolith Production with focus on Psionic powers, and the debut of version 2.0 of Lithtech.

As always, compatibility fixes are applied:

Starting the year with a small glimpse of underwater & swimming gameplay!

What kind of hidden places might be hidding under the ocean?

The game is ABYSS X ZERO by the way! Still a work in progress!

shorts make no money and generate no real channel growth but everyone feels like they gotta make 'em anyway. You don't! It's fine!
My YouTube shorts got 662,000 views last year and the ad revenue from them was $140 lol
A couple of Youtubers I watch have done videos now about how their views are way down, and how Youtube is prioritizing short form, clickbait titles/thumbnails, and "videos that start in the midst of the action" and *my god* all I hate all three of these.

This is the opposite of what I like.

Grok's new "feature" that allows users to undress women in photos posted to X is a new low for the platform. If you're somehow still active over there, I urge you to let this be your final straw.

Mamdani took over the @NYCMayor account on Twitter but old Eric Adams tweets are still active. That means Mamdani's name and face shows up for old tweets he didn't send.

You're probably going to see a lot of screenshots like this where Mamdani appears to praise Netanyahu, but they aren't by Mamdani
