Reading back through Paulina Borsook's fantastic profile of Tom Jennings nearly 30 years later is such a trip. I remember immediately stuffing the magazine in my backpack as soon as I checked the mail bc of the faux salacious extremely 90s net culture cover story and fear of The Parentals' reaction.
here's the issue: archive.org/details/wire... LMAO one of these things is not like the other i love being alive

old walter b shows up at one point, as does a dive into atavistic, embodied play. you can hear me getting very close to talking about the erotics of gambling and coin flips, but this is only episode 16 of side story. come see us in two years and we'll be way out in the joyful weeds

I would bring back Czechoslovakia for the new one. And have Bond be like "Wtf how did Czechoslovakia come back together?" And M would be like "we put you back together and that was like so many more pieces." And then he'd go "Didn't I used to be white?" And everyone would look around awkwardly.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Reminds me of how sick the art in the Japanese D&D rulebooks are.
Seeing another culture viewing something through their own lens is so cool to me for some reason.

If you're not calling for the safe bitch senators who voted yes to be tarred and feathered and carried in a cart then fuck you, you ain't shit.
1. We need to fight hard for a good ACA extension early in December and hold Republicans fiercely accountable if they betray everyone.

I like Civ because it's the only one of those that doesn't look like it's going to call me a racial slur right off the bat.

it's almost as if you shouldn't and can't negotiate with completely amoral vacuous shitgoblins
In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

i have not watched GDT's Frankenstein but i am firm in my belief that it needs a tie-in adventure/fighting game like the 90s Kenneth Branagh one did on the Sega CD. and they need to keep in elizabeth's roll attack

[Persuasion] What do you think about dialogue choices in games? I’m interested in your opinion.

[Failed] Maybe some other time. For now, focus on getting the key to that warehouse.

When directions fail in the heat of the moment - as they often did on virtual television adventure game Knightmare!

Ooh, nasty~

Broadcast between 1987-1994 in the UK (with French and Spanish adaptations) Knightmare pitted a team of kids to guide a friend through a perilous dungeon.

The important thing is you don't need to make your dialogue choices look like this
November 10, 2025 at 5:18 PM
When I was writing my first professional game, I got advice from very important and brilliant narrative designers that they repeated to me whenever I began crashing out...

"The player only needs to believe the dialogue choices go to different places."
