I've begun my traditional replay of Monster Rancher Battle Card II for the PS1 that I feel compelled to do every few years. It's a deeply flawed game (I always forget how clumsy the cards' translations are) but still a comfort game for me. Anyone else have an obscure game they like to return to?

This reminds me of when indies will deliberate over when the right time to release their game is. I've heard people with zero budget voice concerns about dropping at the same time as a triple A title but they aren't your competition.
I think that as an indie game dev without a large publisher, your target audience is not gamers in general, it is sickos.
It's hardcore sickos that will be diving the depths of your genre and finding your game, and it is sickos who will be spreading it.
Please the passionate, not the masses.
