This and learning how to say “hello“ and ”thank you” in the local tongue are the secret to having a good time abroad.
if there is one American value I really do pride myself on adhering to when I travel abroad, it is “I will enthusiastically try all of your local foods”

I am not sober or even “soberish” but I don’t drink a lot and I do enjoy a fancy non-alcoholic alternative and in my opinion non-alc drinks are like vegetarian food in that the best options aren’t trying to directly imitate alcohol (or meat) but just provide an interesting alternative.
