A disturbing update to this story: Despite the fact that he was about to be released from a US prison after completing a sentence here, when Kelvin Membreño was deported to El Salvador he was sent to CECOT prison and remains there. The family has not heard from him since.
NEW — Kelvin Membreño will be deported to El Salvador by ICE tomorrow. He’s the birth father of three US citizen daughters and has become an important part of their lives.

We cannot keep letting the confederacy get away unpunished.
The entire Republican establishment needs to be removed. Anyone who voted to keep him in office back in 2024 should be stripped of all powers and titles. And anyone in his regime should be tried for crimes against humanity.

I think it’s a reflection of their own attitudes. Both Biden and they were trying to live in a fantasy where those 4 years were a return to normalcy as opposed to the most urgent moment in American history to preserve what was left of democracy.

These are concentration camps. No other way to describe them. Truly horrific, and none of it surprising in the least.
30 minutes. Some deportees described sexual assault. Detainee describes the guard sexually assaulting most detainees. Lights left on all day. Prisoners not given clean water.
