The XBOX (2001) is now as old as the Atari 2600 (1977) was when the XBOX was released.

A Thievius Racoonus in any language - Sly Cooper!

One of my favourite action-platformer series. 💜 And I especially dig the dramatic energy of the NTSC-J cover.

Thanks to a local volunteer, our Domesday VHS capture setup is working again! This still-experimental hardware mod lets us read from VHS tapes at the highest possible quality, directly from the internals of the VCR

Currently digitizing this goofy Xbox Live infomercial...

Too many people have resigned themselves to not reading because they fear they no longer have the focus for it. You only need to limit your screen time for a few days to begin feeling the effects on your brain. I promise you, you are capable of reading books again.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

Hey, happy 30th birthday GameFAQs! Launched on November 5th, 1995!

The earliest scrape I can find on Wayback is December 1996, but I doubt the site changed much. But yes, here it is in its earliest days as the Video Game FAQ Archive!

Spending too much time online will have catastrophic effects on your mental & emotional health. You need to be taking walks and talking to other people. You need to feel grass under your feet and wind on your face. You were made to live an embodied life.

The Mortal Kombat Kollection is fucking incredible. The games themselves are a nostalgia delight, but what you’re really buying is a brilliant documentary/multimedia recreation of living through MK’s cultural moment.

They are also intentionally conflating machine-learning and generative AI slop to confuse and try to make GenAI seem necessary. Google Maps traffic stuff is machine learning, not GenAI, for example. Auto-correct is too. Don't let them make you lose the thread. GenAI slop is slop.
the nyt posts this stuff like avoiding AI for 48 hours is hard and meanwhile i have literally never once intentionally used an AI program for anything ever
