A few years ago I wrote this arrangement of “The Measure of His Reach” from Stormblood as a way of exploring its post-colonial themes to through an Indian lens. Not a lot of FFXIV music out there that is not pure cover or closely hewn; hope this inspires arrangers to explore a bit more.

I hadn't given much thought to the actual philosophy behind the "empathy is bad, actually" movement, because the people espousing it are so transparently anti-human that I never thought of it as having more depth than wolves having the philosophy "Sheep are tasty".

It's telling that they're not calling it Mega Man 12. Maybe the thinking is that Big Number puts people off? A kind of soft "it's okay if this is your first Mega Man, don't worry about the 11 other games." Happy to see it, though I'm still holding out hope for a fresher take.

I'm not getting back into TCGs but I did buy "Lorcana: Palace Heist," which is a self-contained PvE version of Lorcana that's like the old Cryptozoic WoW Dungeon/Raid decks. I used to have a *ball* playing "Battle of the Aspects" and "Caverns of Time." Looking forward to this one.
