So about that viral story on BCBS limiting coverage for anesthesia...yeah, that was propaganda by the main association of anesthesiologists.

It's good to keep in mind who's telling you things, who they're feuding with, and what they have to gain if you believe them.
Read a little bit more about this, and goddammit we're getting played you guys. The original link from the ASA is very dishonest. They are moving to the CMS standard for anesthesia billing. In other words, they are going to pay the same way they do for Medicare and Medicaid.
This is not to defend Anthem in any way, but that viral article about anesthesiologists is published by their cartel. There's a reason it's one of the highest paid specialties, and why a very common surprise medical bill is for an out of network anesthesiologist on an in-network surgery

Looking to talk to women who were using Seeking Arrangement in DC or VA (statewide) in 2016-2021. I don't want to publish your identity, but to see if you matched with a particular username -- and if you met, what the experience was like. So far it seems he'd be VERY memorable (derogatory).

I am struggling to understand why we have prisons and jails if not for the Amazon executives who made the decision to purchase a Medicare advantage program and staff the hotline with people who had no medical training.
Amazon's One Care triages all patient phone calls through a call center staffed with people with no medical training or experience, and who have two weeks' training total. Patients have died.

Leaked documents reveal patient safety issues at Amazon’s One Medical
After One Medical began using a call center staffed by contractors with minimal training, patients with urgent symptoms failed to receive immediate help.

Whether you like it or not, the fight against transphobia is one of the key fights against fascism of our generation. You're living through it right now. Sitting and watching and doing nothing is an action that favours the fascists and they will not stop

Just a reminder: we are the ordinary people, which is why you should be calling your senators to demand that they do their job and hold hearings on Alito and Thomas.
Just shouted out @ositanwanevu.bsky.social and his point that ordinary people have been basically the only ones to hold Trump to account.

The sooner we realize the enemy isn’t each other but a never ending cycle of power & trauma, the sooner we’ll see each other as we should. People are mostly the same. Power, political or religious, seeks division by design.

Pfizer produces the Covid treatment Paxlovid for $13.

They’re charging $1390 for it.

Pfizer donated $5.7 million to members of Congress since Covid began to get government contracts and keep drug prices high.

Price gouging is legal because our campaign finance laws are broken.
'For Shame': Pfizer to Charge $1,390 for Lifesaving Covid Drug That Costs Just $13
"Pfizer treats Paxlovid like a Prada handbag; a luxury for the few rather than a treatment for the many," said one consumer advocate.

NEW: The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) has faced criticism from advocates who say Republican politicians could weaponize it to target LGBTQ+ content. But the ACLU, EFF, and Fight for the Future said state AGs could also use it to censor info about abortion.

Just. Feed. Kids.

I can't believe this is even a political issue. Just let children in public schools have free lunch. Any politician who opposes this should not be electable.
my kids school switched school lunch payment processors and in the new system kindergartners have to type in their full names or five-digit student IDs to get their lunch, which is causing such long delays some kids aren't getting lunches until the end of the lunch period
