I live 30 min from Providence & had no idea

Wonder how many of these cities will simulateously hit highs for vehicle deaths that *also* will go unreported
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

Bill Clinton releasing a statement saying 'release the Epstein files, you cowards' was not on my bingo list.

especially in the dark hours we need to remember that we are going to win
Worth noting, I guess, that inside of a year we've gone from administration officials taking selfies of themselves at CECOT and bragging about how it's hell on earth to now getting their horrible little media worms to kill stories about it

legitimately love this guy.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

If people are this upset by one guy killing 11 people because of the victims’ ethnic identity, wait until they hear what an entire army has been doing the last two years in Palestine.

Oh. Huh. That’s weird.

this is a stupid idea on its own but the idea of giving any new power to this administration at all, for any reason, is unconscionable

Whitehouse wants to repeal Section 230 NOW while Trump prosecutes dissent, threatens press as "enemies," and Denmark calls us a security threat. Brilliant timing to hand an authoritarian new tools to silence online speech. Democrats are useless at recognizing actual danger.

@whitehouse.senate.gov how are you so right so often but so wrong here now.

The Ocean State is small but not a monolith.

Represent us or we will replace you.
Oh. Cool. Just as the President is using every power he can to suppress dissent and stifle speech, @whitehouse.senate.gov and the @judiciarydems.senate.gov are trying to hand Trump a new tool to suppress speech online.

What a joke.

Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

Seeing folks help backstop organizing workers this way is a big one for the “I do not regret to tell you that we are going to win” files.

When I think about conditions we’d need to make smthg like a general strike possible—stories like this make me hopeful we’re building in the right direction.
Since this post, nearly 300 of you donated about $11k and I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The union shared photos with me today of food being distributed. Remaining money will be evenly distributed among the 160 union members in the form of gift cards. Thank you. ❤️
