The whole "federal judges aren't impartial" bs is stolen from fascism in the US. There's no basis for it in Canadian judicial reality. Canadian fascism is awful enough without Danielle Smith importing an even worse version of it from Americans. #abpoli
Smith doubled down on her anti court rhetoric today...

She even seemed to suggest that federally appointed judges couldn't render impartial rulings and that she believed her interpretation should always be above theirs.

I am beyond angry at Doug Ford for his comments about EQAO results. He is so ignorant about students need and criteria for their success. C level students have great success and get good jobs. They may not thrive in school for so many reasons. It doesn't mean they are less capable.

ALBERTA: Bill 11 raises healthcare costs for everyone ⚠️.

Families pay more out of pocket. Public wait times grow. Doctors move to private clinics. The public system gets weaker.

Watch our 3 minute video below on what Bill 11 means for you and why we need to push back.

I think both can be useful for authors. What is important is that people are reading. If so, some books are bought and some are borrowed from the library.

Um, drink a glass of milk, and come sit by me.
In "real" life, libraries raise funds to buy multiple copies of authors' works. The authors are compensated through their publishers. Publishers know that a popular book in a library will boost sales of that book, and the library will order more.

Where I live you cannot get academic books through non-university libraries. They are also more expensive than the money I have for groceries for a week.

Should my access to knowledge be limited because of my financial situation?

You can’t even make this stuff up.

Good thoughts, Mr. Cassidy. Your timing is quite a bit off, though. You had a chance to prevent all this nine months ago and you didn’t. What changed? All the information you had back then was the same.

That’s what’s wrong with the whole GOP. Party over the good of the people.
