Proud to see a new generation stepping up in Parliament. MPs elected in their early 20s are bringing fresh perspectives and working hard to make sure their generation’s voices are heard. 🇨🇦
What’s it like being elected in your early 20s? Canada’s first MPs born in the 21st century weigh in
Nearly eight months after they were first elected, Liberal MPs Fares Al Soud, Tatiana Auguste, Jake Sawatzky and Amandeep Sodhi sat down with the Star.

Democracy is strongest when everyone participates.

Proud of our Youth Caucus for ensuring that young people in Canada have a voice in Parliament.

So floor‑crossing is supposedly ‘illegitimate,’ yet orchestrating a newly-elected MP in the safest Conservative seat to quit immediately after the election—just to force an expensive by‑election because your own riding tossed you out after you lurched to the far right—is totally fine.” Sure, Jan. 🙄

Yesterday, our community came together in Springer Market Square for the annual Public Menorah Lighting, Light Up the Night. 🕎

Thank you to the organizers and everyone who joined. Happy Hanukkah!

Not long ago, a bill tried to ban floor crossings.
Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner delivered a blunt, clear-eyed case for why that’s a terrible idea — and why she and her colleagues voted it down.

(1/4) This is the Conservative Party of Canada today—bending reality to fit its ideology and hoping no one notices the distortion. And none of this should shock anyone when it’s being pushed by a leading voice of the party’s alt‑right faction, Jamil Jivani, who proudly aligns himself with JD Vance.

Stephen Harper certainly had no problems with MPs crossing the floor.

Since Canadians elected a new government in April, we’ve been moving fast to deliver on our mandate: lowering costs, strengthening our economy, and building Canada strong.

And we’re just getting started. 🇨🇦

Tonight at sunset, Jewish communities in Canada and around the world begin celebrating Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. 🕯️

It is a time to celebrate tradition, and reflect on the diversity that strengthens our country.

Wishing everyone celebrating a bright and joyful Hanukkah. Chag Sameach!

Great to see so many of you at our Liberal festive gathering today! 🎄

Thank you for all your support throughout the year. Wishing everyone a joyful and happy holiday season!

Thanks, Columbo. 😆

Watching Conservative MPs spiral out of control, with *zero* ability to self-reflect, over Michael Ma’s floor crossing is genuinely fascinating.

Another floor crossing to the Liberals!

A big thank you to the Grade 10 Civics students at LaSalle Intermediate and Secondary School for sharing with me their culminating projects.

Hearing directly from young people about their priorities and ideas is so valuable. Their engagement strengthens our community. 👏

Correction: On this day in 2003, the national political conservative movement was officially hijacked by the former Reform Party. And they never look back.
