Fossil fuel cars are stranded assets. EVs are pulling ahead of internal combustion engine vehicles in the used market. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 www.carscoops.com/2025/11/evs-...
EVs Now Sell Faster Than Gas Cars In The Used Market | Carscoops
Used car prices are climbing again in 2025, and buyers are slowing down, though not when it comes to EVs

Electricity update - The cost of electricity is on the rise in our area. The reason here is because PJM has been slow to increase transmission & roll out new capacity for renewables as fossil fuel plants that are not competitive shut down. (Growth of data centers also contributes). 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 🧵

Gas update: Seems I may be owing Kevin a dinner... It took us three phone calls & several week's wait to turn off our gas last spring. Then we had to dispute an estimated bill (from a smart meter!) that was 10x greater than our actual gas use. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 🧵
I'll wager a month's fixed gas fee that it's a helluva lot easier to start giving them money again than to stop!

though knowing utility websites and bureaucracy, that might be a risky bet...

Despite "vibe" reporting to the contrary, EV sales are growing at +8%. The *global* share of internal combustion vehicles continues to decline, replaced by hybrids, plug-in hybrids & BEVs. Car makers betting otherwise are selling buggy whips. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 electrek.co/2025/11/12/e...
EV sales *still* have not fallen, cooled, slowed or slumped. Media is lying to you.
After two years of headlines begging for failure, EV sales keep defying false media narratives that they are dropping, and continue to rise.

Massive deployment of renewables are reducing emissions in China. Carbon emissions in China have been flat or falling for 18 months now from a peak in early 2024. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-chi...
Analysis: China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months - Carbon Brief
China’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions were unchanged from a year earlier in the third quarter of 2025, extending a flat or falling trend that started in March 2024.

October Electrification Update- We have now gone 7 mo. without using fossil gas at home. We'll turn the gas back on soon to cover temperatures <20°F, but the 3-season heat pump has managed just fine this year without gas. Here's my monthly update. 🧪💡🔌☀️💨💧🔋

October Gas Update: Waiting for the electricity bill to come in, so here's some gas info. We shut off the gas in April & have now gone *7* months without using gas in our home here in NE Ohio. We also conducted a bit of an unplanned experiment last week. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 a 🧵

1st training flight w/ our new, VisionAerial Switchblade Elite tri-copter mapping drone today. It's an impressive, American made rotorcraft with exceptional maneuverability & range. The payload is a Micasense RedEdge-P multispectral camera. Did mention the drone has retractable landing gear? 🧪

I want to glaze and fire these eight charts as ceramic wall tile accent pieces. They take the trends from the EIA data (2021 - 2025) and extrapolate them to a 100% clean energy grid for Texas by 2035. Seems doable.

The headline here is that West Australia is reaching 84% renewables on a near daily basis, but perhaps the real story mentioned in there is that the Australian National Grid is now reaching nearly 79% generation. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 reneweconomy.com.au/death-of-bas...

With a current value of $0.001 per ton, it does not look like coal will be making a comeback in the United States. That's the outcome from a recent coal lease bid for *subsidized* coal. They lowered the royalty rate (& cut environmental regulations) to encourage the sale. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋 A short 🧵

Sept '25 Electrification Update: It's 23 month since we started to electrify our home and ~5.5 mo. since we turned off the gas seasonally. Our electricity usage in Sept was just 808 kWh, down from last year due to more mild conditions that required less heating or cooling. My monthly 🧵 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋

Despite the noise, renewables keep rising now generating more electricity than coal.

@iea.org halved its US outlook, but raised India’s by 10%, putting it on track as the No. 2 growth market after China. MENA up 23%, driven by Saudi wind and solar.
