I’ve spearheaded an operation to deliver ice cold water to an encampment of unhoused neighbors.

The e-bike makes it so much easier but I’m still often having to do multiple trips a day.

We really need to fundraise for ice or an ice machine. Buying $12 of ice a day is pretty unsustainable.
This bike fucks.

Speaking of things that don’t work here: Videos aren’t working for me and I sure would like to know if it’s because I haven’t updated the app or my phone.

Because I don’t want discover shoehorned into my following feed but also don’t want to have AI shoehorned into my phone’s OS.

I’m update shy.
Clearly I didn’t keep to this and now I wish I had.

I wouldn’t mind following more people if the “latest from mutuals” feed actually worked.

My following feed is endless repeated reposts and after taking a month off it feels like my engagement is right next to zero.
For real.

From now on I’m keeping it 💯, and my that I mean following about one hundred people who don’t post terribly too much.

Assisted dying is eugenism in disguise.
I will be the first to admit I couldn’t understand why anyone would oppose Assisted Dying… and then I became disabled and had it “offered” to me.

It’s not compassionate when there’s coercion.

It’s not dignified when it’s offered in lieu of care.

Listen to disabled people.

A motivated individual with a fire extinguisher filled with paint could cripple the whole lot of these in one fell swoop and create quite the hassle for the vultures.
Waymo privatized another public street:

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

What’s going on everyone, hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. If you had to take a Covid test I hope it was negative, if it was positive that you have a speedy recovery with no long Covid issues.

It is time now for your Monday November fourth Costco coughing report:

IT’S HIGH!

Funny hearing old podcast episodes where the liberal hosts make fun of something red maga is doing that blue maga will adopt shortly afterwards 😆

"Being uncomfortable is not the same as being unsafe" is also true on our streets. It's people driving cars that are the cause of traffic deaths and serious injuries despite the incessent outcry over e-bikes, e-scooters, and e-mopeds.

Am I sensing a pattern in this political moment?
Seeing a tent doesn’t put anyone in danger. Being uncomfortable is not the same as being unsafe.

True enough sadly, but then again those who still do see have become more precious to me than any jewel.
When I look for them
I can see the signs
that the next wave
in this unending pandemic
is already approaching,
and though I try
to tell myself
I’ll get through this one too
when I look for them
I can no longer see
so many of the people
who helped me get through
the previous waves.

Surely an innocent coincidence that the only leftist voice tolerated in major media for generations was an anti-soviet western chauvinist who just so happened to be close friends with a billionaire pedophile. None of these facts about the man could be related to each other, obviously

“ aye mate, want to pop over to Gooners for a burger? I’m a bit peckish”
Right @mbalazo.bsky.social has informed me that in his hometown there's an English-themed pub called Bollocks. This would be like someone here opening a US-style diner and calling it Jerking Off or something.

I'm not joking about this. I know large-scale music streaming is very convenient and all, but I do believe it's a net negative on music as a part of human culture.
Spotify needs to die so music can live.

Oh you trained your robot to create Miyazaki-esque Dexter's Lab meets Ben Ten fanfiction? Great that's wonderful, proud of you bud. But if you bring that shit out in public we will shoot you and send you the bill for the bullet
If I had a say there would be an entire wing of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau dedicated to certifying companies for using Ethical AI. Investigating them for copyright abuse and fining/sanctioning them heavily for infringement.

There should be a leash law for robot imaginations.

But what about the big science understanders that told me “we have the tools”?
My friend Tinu Abayomi-Paul, who has multiple disabilities & developed long COVID, told me, “Long COVID has stolen my life. I can barely work. I had all the vaccinations, my family masked. There’s no treatment...” www.teenvogue.com/story/covid-...
COVID Isn’t Going Anywhere. Masking Up Could Save My Life.

The E-Bike is the most energy-efficient transportation method ever created, even more efficient than walking. It is a societal innovation on par with vaccines and pesticides, and it should be fostered globally, and lifted into prominence.
what I love about e-bikes and the world of small electric mobility is that it is a full scale transportation revolution no one saw coming but that nonetheless has the power to address air pollution death & illness, climate change, traffic violence, affordability, and also social isolation & anxiety
