Warning for laptop users:

If you've got a relatively newer laptop using DDR5 and you want to upgrade the memory past 16GB, do it now.

People have figured out how to get laptop RAM to work in desktop systems and it's opened a buying frenzy in a starving market.

This matters for no other reason than someone with the guts to force all the precedents Trump is establishing could easily Make This A Thing and if it goes through cite Kushner's involvement as reason to actually undo the merger.

If a candidate had any backbone at all, that is.
Important detail on Paramount's hostile takeover bid to buy WBD:

Paramount's financing partners include Jared Kushner's private equity firm, plus Saudi Arabia's, Qatar's and Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth funds.

Kushner's involvement was NOT publicized by Paramount.

See, with a case this high profile the cops needed to be sure it was air tight. Dot the i's, cross the t's.

And instead they just blundered along like this was a regular arrest that nobody would call them on.

You know. Standard cop behavior.

Oops.

They're more expensive and lack selection, *and* they rolled over and showed their belly to the fucking Nazis? What's even the point of them?

Elections, laws and a binding social contract were the compromise position against "we rise up together, take all your shit and cut off your head."

And the elite forgot that.
The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

Yeah, that's hard to pawn off on the other party.

NEW: About 90,000 people living near larger chemical plants face an unacceptable risk of developing cancer, the EPA says.

New rules adopted last year could’ve cut that number to 3,000 residents — a drop of 97%.

But Trump has halted those efforts.
Air Pollution From Industrial Facilities Is Far Worse Than Estimated
The Trump administration has put a stop to EPA rules that would have required more than 130 industrial facilities to install air monitors to measure pollution. Millions of people living near these pla...

OZ: They retracted that. Here's the truth. The average American who's on ACA is gonna pay $13 more than this year. That's not a big issue

This case underscores how SCOTUS made it impossible to hold immigration cops accountable for the abuses you see in all those videos.

A federal task force cop manufactured evidence to put an innocent woman behind bars for two years. Because of SCOTUS-conferred immunity, the case never got to a jury.
Minnesota cop who fabricated a sex-trafficking ring won't be held accountable
The officer made up information and lied multiple times under oath but the government says she has federal immunity.

We tried to place this story - very expensive polling, the first of its kind, strong quantitative data about what trans people feel about Britain: bluntly there is no better way to tell the story - with the BBC but it said it was "too weak".

But it will pick up any old piece of transhating garbage.
In @yougov.co.uk polling of the trans community, to the best of our knowledge the first of its kind ever conducted, an astonishing 84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people.
