This is a perfect example of David Brooks' job to comfort the comfortable, regardless of what he inflicts on the afflicted. Brooks' audience is upset not at the lack of decency, but at the lack of silence from those America never treated decently before: the impoverished, the queer, the brown.

Maybe Russia but China prioritizes it's relations with a large swathe of Muslim countries. Which isn't to say they won't occasionally do deals with Israel but it will be vocally anti Israel in diplomatic terms.
