Folks from my whistle crew have already arranged to rush a few thousand whistles up to our friends in MN, but if you're looking for somewhere to channel frustration tonight...

TMRW: We’ve watched in horror as neighbors and coworkers are taken by masked ICE agents—targeted for our skin color, language, or where we live and work—with no respect for due process. Join us and rally at MSP to end ICE flights and push for fair wages for airport workers!

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

we should reject waymo on the basis of supporting labor in minnesota, where uber and lyft drivers fought to score a statewide minimum wage! and don't forget that lyft contributed $10,000 to all of mpls this year to reelect mayor frey and get a city council allied with him. they are making moves
This, 1,000x this. I've been harping about Waymo being anti-worker and yet another way to funnel money upwards to the elite/oligarchs, and people react like I'm nuts. (It's also why I never use self-checkouts.)
and this is why waymo is a labor issue, not a tech issue! it's going to be taking money out of the pockets of rideshare drivers and putting it solely in the hands of big tech

A few things:
1. This is a labor issue and will funnel what was once driver money to tech companies
2. This adds vehicles to roads and will likely increase traffic as they roam looking for passengers
3. I am not as concerned as others seem to be around safety concerns (once tested in snow)

There is no other way to see national level democrats giving republicans everything they want while telling the base their is nothing they can do to stop them than that they are on the same side. They are fascists.
These 20 House Democrats just joined Republicans in voting to fully repeal DC's police reform laws.

Wiping off the books critical laws on use of force, transparency, and preventing violent cops from getting rehired.

They think that they should have more say over DC police than the people of DC.

I am well versed in American racism and I can tell you that Greene, Mace, and Boebert have neither tired of white supremacy nor the patriarchy and are simply bitter that they are no longer young enough, white enough, attractive enough or useful enough to reap the rewards of Bondi, Noem, and Kirk.
I'd be really curious if someone better versed in feminist theory wrote about what's happening on the right. Because between Greene, Mace, and Bobert, we've got this bloc forming of women who seem tired of serving a patriarchy of sex criminals. And their rhetoric is starting to lean that direction.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I was called a traitor by a man that I fought for 6 years for. I gave him my loyalty for free. I've never owed him anything. Let me tell you what a traitor is -- a traitor is an American that serves foreign countries."
