The challenge with this heavy LA rain is that I use a YouTube video of a rainstorm to fall asleep -- I have a sleep protocol for making sure I get rest when I'm on set -- and I am dying over here. Just hammering caffeine to get through the emails. Training your body is useful up to a *point*.

I think we’ve got better and more culturally-varied street food than I could have imagined, cool jackets galore, and drugs that make us think we’re really fast and strong before they kill us.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Reading is not locked to a collective rhythm. It is an active act to conjure up the necessary connections in the mind. Speech and video, when done right is dream like. It’s a flowing river, a guided trip heavy on emotion and weak on ideas that require contemplation for it has to flow equally for all
