When I quit Twitter/X, I made sure to delete 18 years of Tweets, because I knew this was coming.

If you’re still on that platform, you are enabling sooooo much disinformation.
Users are noticing Twitter/X has added a Grok-powered AI image editor that lets anyone edit any image on the platform, including other people’s artwork using text prompts.

Artists warn there’s no opt-out or consent, raising concerns over unauthorized edits and misuse.

Pope Leo said in a Christmas Eve sermon that the story of Jesus being born in a stable because there was no room at an inn should remind Christians that refusing to help the poor and strangers today is tantamount to rejecting God himself. For @reuters.com

Megaptera novaeangliae bringing Christmas to you.
I take on average 10,000 stills and a half hour of video every week. Most I'll never think about again. This I'll hold onto until I grow old. 4 hours ago.

Zero edits. No recoloring. No cropping. Nothing. Just straight up reality. 🦑

Sitting in front of the fireplace with Alice the cat, reflecting upon a very bad, no good year.

So many people have suffered and are suffering this year. Let’s work to use whatever privilege and advantages we have to better life for everyone who has it harder than we do.

Biologists who teach: in what order do you teach the four forces of evolution? Genetic drift first or selection first? And I'm still struggling to smoothly fit in HWE so that its utility is emphasized (students focus so much on how likely it is that assumptions are violated).

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.
